Lectures and Concerts at Harvard and NYU

NYU

On Thursday March 5th, Cristina will be hosting her last lecture as part of her duties as the King Juan Carlos Chair in Spanish Culture and Civilization at NYU. This time, she is inviting Yo-Yo Ma to join her for a conversation entitled “Culture and Social Responsibility in the Bach Project and Beyond — How Can Culture Help to Make the Invisible Visible?” (See flyer above). Cristina’s path as an artist, educator and cultural citizen has been deeply impacted by her work alongside Yo-Yo Ma and Silkroad during the last fourteen years, and she is incredibly excited about engaging Yo-Yo, the humanist, into a conversation about cultural collaboration, social responsibility and about the lessons learned throughout the process of creating and developing the groundbreaking Bach Project, for which Cristina served as independent producer in Barcelona.

HARVARD

On Friday March 6th, Cristina will go back to Harvard University for a lecture at the Observatorio del Español of the Instituto Cervantes at Harvard University. Cristina will be presenting her lecture “Transcending Disciplines: an Artist’s Journey to Cultural Sustainability” as part of the International Women’s Day celebrations of the Observatorio.
