Cristina’s inaugural speech for the Festas do Corpus 2018 was received with great success from media and audience, making the front page of the three main Galician newspapers. Her speech talked about the demographic decline of Galicia and was intended to raised awareness about the situation of the elderly. Ourense’s historical patrimony was also featured in her words and the need to stand up and defend “our cultural identity” all together.
Cristina also joined aclaimed singer songwriter Andres Suarez in a very powerful rendition of Negra Sombra, one of the most popular Galician songs of all times.
