During this month of May Cristina has been embarked in the production of Yo-Yo Ma’s Day of Action in Barcelona. Connected to Ma’s performance at the Palau de la Música Catalana, as part of his Bach Project, Cristina Pato and Joan Anton Cararach have been working together to develop a program with local partners to shape a day of public performance, conversation, and action focused on culture’s role in society. Apart from Barcelona, Cristina has been invited to present the new season of Carolina Performing Arts, at University of Carolina, Chapel Hill where she will be coming back in January 2020 with her new project INVISIBLE(s) alongside violinist and composer Mazz Swift.
As part of her rol as Learning Advisor for Silkroad, she visited the Northern Cheyenne community of Lame Deer at a benefit show celebrating Native American youth arts. A collection of art, printed fabrics, pottery, sculpture, linoleum block cuts, music, and metalwork from the students of Lame Deer Junior/Senior High School alongside the artists of Stapleton Gallery.
