Workshop: Making Music across Borders with Yo-Yo Ma – WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

Celebrated musician Yo-Yo Ma brings together a world-class ensemble of musicians from a global range of traditions, including several from his award-winning SilkRoad Ensemble, for a musical demonstration exploring intercultural dialogue in both music and everyday life. Yo-Yo Ma is joined by guitarist brothers Sérgio and Odair Assad from Brazil; tabla virtuoso Sandeep Das from India; Russian-born violinist Johnny Gandelsman from the USA; Galician bagpiper Cristina Pato from Spain; pianist Kathryn Stott from the UK; and Sheng (mouth organ) player Wu Tong from China.
