O, wow. I didn’t realize you had replied. I am sorry for my tardiness. No, I have no problem with the translations themselves — and certainly do not have any Galician language skills. My problem is that your translator waits so long before getting your columns to you or getting them to your page. Right now, the latest available column is from May 30. That means there are probably three new ones out there waiting to give me a smidgen of hope in these bleak times. I have actually built one of my future columns — maybe next week if some major news break doesn’t interfere — around your thoughts on ambiguity: the benefits as you and others point out, and the mindsets of those who oppose them…..I have long wished for knowledge of Galician for access to Rosalía de Castro. Now that you have published a second novel, I feel even more deprived. All the best — all ways — always.
Please find a more reliable translator for your columns. Their brief bits of sanity mitigate the mess that is our modern world. Or, you could print the Galician and I could run it through the translator.
