Summer is here! Cristina has already begun the season in Pittsburgh, PA, with her US Quartet, for the Just Summer concert series of Chamber Music Pittsburgh. The day after, she travelled to Spain to join her Galician Trio in the Canary Island of Lanzarote to perform at the Costa Teguise festival directed by Canarian master of the timple Benito Cabrera.
Back in Galicia, she has been appointed to deliver a speech to inaugurate the festivities of her hometown Ourense on June 23rd, and to join singer songwriter Andrés Suárez for his opening concert of the Festas do Corpus. Cristina and her Galician TRIO will be on the road this summer in Galicia. Stay tuned for more dates.
On the educational side of things, Cristina is scheduled to collaborate with the Instituto de Estudos Miñorans on June 22nd, invited by Professor Camiño Noia to give a talk, as well as with the Juilliard School on occasion of its annual conference on The Artist as Citizen (produced by astep.org).
In the border between Galicia and Portugal, Cristina will deliver her lecture Transcending Disciplines: The Sustainable Artist of the 21st Century in the conference and summer institute IKFEM 2018 in Tui-Valença, on July 24th.
